0900-1015 “Why and How Lean/Agile Delivers Value Faster and Better to your Enterprise”
This 1-hour and 15 minute session will present information which defines the case for utilizing Lean Agile Value Driven Delivery approaches in fast changing "Knowledge Work" environments. An overview of Lean and Agile philosophies derived from established management science is provided in easy to remember and understand "talking points" which can be shared with senior leaders, peers, and team members in "plain English". This session establishes the Enterprise Environmental Factors which are commonly encountered and how a Lean Agile Value Delivery Driven approach to collaborative teamwork can be more effective and efficient than Traditional project management approaches.
1030-1230 “Lean Agile Value Driven Delivery from A-Z”
This 2-hour session will present a “blueprint” for a Lean Agile Value Driven Delivery approach for “Knowledge Work” organizations. Basic theory of the Agile “Scrum” approach, Roles, Events, and Artifacts will be presented as well as identification and description of specific Tools and Techniques which support individuals and interactions in pursuit of “working” and valuable products and services. The session will highlight the aspects of the Scrum approach which support both “Doing Agile” and “Being Agile”. This session is intended as an introductory presentation for audiences which are relatively unfamiliar with Agile and Scrum.
1300-1700 “Practical Lean/Agile Workshop”
This 2-hour session will be a “hands on”, interactive workshop where the facilitator will walk participants through the experience of initiating a “project” through the end of a first “iteration” where a “potentially shippable product” increment is delivered. The session will apply the Agile “Scrum” approach to the previous session's presented Roles, Events, and Artifacts, and participants will leave with examples of tools and real experience with techniques. It is very strongly suggested that participants have attended the previous session and/or are relatively familiar with with Agile and Scrum.
1700-1900 Informal Q&A and Networking
This will be a period of time where an open, collaborative sharing of questions and answers can be enjoyed, as well as the opportunity to connect with new colleagues as you go forward “Doing Agile and Being Agile”. There is no charge for this session. All are invited to attend. Pricing
