I Lea Ka Hula: Celebrating Culture, Preserving Traditions

I Lea Ka Hula: Celebrating Culture, Preserving Traditions is a new event for PAI Foundation in collaboration with Na Kumu Hula Vicky & Jeff Takamine, Kumu Hula Robert Cazimero and Kumu Hula Michael Pili Pang. Our goals are to provide residents and visitors interested in hula and Hawaiian cultural practices an opportunity to 1) learn from some of Hawaiiʻs finest kumu hula and cultural practitioners; 2) gain a better understanding of the mele (songs/chants); 3) connect the mele with the natural and cultural resources, people and places that inspire the compositions; 4) increase their understanding and use of Hawaiian language; and 5) support and value the kumu hula and master teachers that dedicate their lives to the preservation and perpetuation of these traditions for future generations.  Register online here:  https://paifoundation.regfox.com/i-lea-ka-hula
