      EVENT DETAILS
      Kapuuola Hula Festival

Kapuuola is an outdoor hula festival held at the pa hula (hula mound) at Puuokapolei, a cultural and historic site in Kapolei, Oahu. The festival features performances by several halau hula (hula schools) and live Hawaiian music entertainment. For those who enjoy shopping and eating, local crafters, food booths and a silent auction will run throughout the event. The event is free and open to the public. Kapuuola means living hill. The name reflects the festival's vision to bring life and enlightenment to all things Hawaiian. The name also highlights the significance of Puuokapolei, the special hill that the festival is held on. This festival is an eco-friendly event. Free refillable water stations will be located throughout the festival grounds so visitors can refill their waterbottles. Commenarative cups will be available for purchase. The location of Puuokapolei can seem a bit tricky, but it's quite easy if you can find Kapolei Regional Park @ 1077 Manawai Street. When at the park, you will see the festival towards the top where the coconut trees are. Because Puuokapolei is a cultural site, there is no specific address. If you are driving on the road, find Fort Barrette Road. Drive ma kai (seaward) along Fort Barrette, when you see the skatepark on the right, take that right and follow the road inward. There are various parking lots throughout Kapolei Regional Park.
