Ocean Talks: The Hawaiian Koa Card: A Coral Health and Bleaching Assessment Tool

Join us on Thursday, Nov. 14th from 3:30-4:30pm in the Waikiki Aquarium classroom for a seminar by Anita Tsang. "The recent severity and extent of bleaching events poses a significant threat to the integrity of Hawaii's coral reefs. Colors on the Hawaiian Koa Card have been linked to the physiological state and health of common coral species. This provides a simple and effective technical solution for citizen scientists, educators, researchers, and managers to be involved in determining management efficacy, identifying resistant regions and species, establishing baselines, executing rapid response plans, and tracking coral recovery. Be part of the solution to make a difference for our coral reefs!" Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-hawaiian-koa-card-a-coral-health-and-bleaching-assessment-tool-tickets-77671374171
